Training and Services Pricing
My rates are extremely reasonable, especially for someone who does house calls. Look around for other trainers. If you do find cheaper options, take notes. Is it a group session? It can be extremely hard for dogs to focus in that situation, and you also run the risk of contagious viruses from the other dogs. And don't forget to take into account that not every dog in the class may be friendly. How far away are they? Do they work with each owner and dog individually? Did they learn how to train from an instruction manual, or did they get out in the field to gain first-hand experience?
Pricing may vary depending on your circumstances. For information on types of training, what is covered in them, and the other services I offer, please visit the links above. This is what is charged and for what, payment options, and dues.
For all the dog training categories, there is a thirty dollar fee due upfront at our initial consultation. This is to ensure that you are serious about moving forward in this program and that you are securing your spot. I have traveled long distances for potential clients only to be stood up, so I had to put a consultation fee up to keep the flakes at bay. After you have e-mailed me at [email protected] with information on what training package you are looking at, we will set up a place to meet publicly. Upon meeting, I will go over what it is we will be working on, when we will start (preferably no later than three days after our consultation), what training exercise we will start with, and figure out a schedule that works for you. I prefer that you pick one or two days a week and stick to them, as it makes it difficult to coordinate training sessions with multiple clients bouncing around visiting days. We will exchange information, including phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and your home address, as that is where most of the training will take place.
The first actual session we have together will be free of charge. This is to let you get an initial feel for how I handle your dog and what you can expect to be implementing yourself under my guidance. There is an additional $60 fee for multiple dogs to be trained. Say you were interested in the Basic Obedience package for two dogs - it would cost $310 not including the thirty dollar consultation fee.
Payments are split so that it is less stressful on your wallet and to establish trust between each other - this way, you know I'm not the type to take the money and never show up. I've had it happen to me, and it's no fun.
Basic Obedience - Basic obedience programs will cost $250, not including your $30 consultation fee, so $280 in total.. .
Puppy Starting-Puppy starting is $280, not including the $30 consultation fee, so $310 total.
Dog Aggression and Misc. Training - Pricing here varies on a case-by-case basis. The $30 consultation fee still applies. Please e-mail me in regards to the severity of the aggression or what other training session you may need.
